Robert Ibsen, DDS, founded Den-Mat Corporation in 1974 after years of dissatisfaction with the dental materials available on the market. He began to formulate his own bonding materials and porcelain laminates. Den-Mat has consistently developed products that continue to help change the way dentists practice... products that allow the dentist to preserve, restore and enhance the teeth without the extensive cutting, drilling and tooth removal that have characterized dentistry in the past. This revolutionary type of dentistry not only focuses on results, but on patient comfort and convenience as well. The One-Hour Smile Whitening Program, incorporating the latest in-office power light bleaching technology with the award-winning Sapphire Light, is the only system that offers the flexibility of bleaching all teeth at once or one tooth at a time, resulting in the most aesthetic, uniformly white results that last - with no bleaching relapse. The Program is now available in over 8,000 participating dental offices nationwide.
Den-Mat professional whitening procedures have received national media attention, featured on programs such as "Queer Eye for the Straight Guy" and "The Swan." Den-Mat also developed revolutionary LUMINEERS BY CERINATE. In February of 2008, DLJ Merchant Banking, a division of Credit Suisse, purchased a majority interest in Den-Mat. Den-Mat Holdings, LLC currently has more than 600 employees and manufactures a complete line of over 150 cosmetic and restorative formulations. The company services more than 86,000 dentists nationwide, and its products are available in more than 68 foreign countries. It offers educational programs and seminars for dental societies and schools worldwide.
